The Meaning of Home

Fall in love with Charlie, a Pomeranian-mix shelter dog, on his journey to find a permanent home. Heartwarming and humorous, "The Meaning Of Home" is more than a story of the special relationship between humans and dogs. It reminds us that a home is not defined by the structure, but the spirit within.

About
About me

I was born to parents who were both veterinarians, and grew up with a menagerie of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, turtles, and a chameleon. While I was raised in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA, the farms, fields and mountains of Pennsylvania nurtured my love of the outdoors and influenced my descriptive writing style.

I attended Lafayette College and the Villanova University School of Law, and have practiced law for thirty-seven years. Animals and the outdoors have always remained central themes in my life. I, and my parents before me, have given a home to several rescue pets. "The Meaning Of Home" is my first published novel inspired by "Charlie," a rescue dog my family adopted in 2016.

It’s an extraordinary tale of love lost and found and lost again, of second chances and redemption, of never giving up no matter what life throws at you. The story, seen through the eyes of an adorable but tough-as-nails Pomeranian mixed breed mutt, is about a dog’s search for home – not a place or a family but a state of belonging and a place that provides warmth and comfort….As with any great book, the story is ultimately about the readers, how they see themselves in the characters they come to love and sometimes hate, and how they would respond to the same world in which a ten-pound pup shows incredible insight and poetry…."The Meaning of Home" is not a destination but a journey, and one well worth the time to take with a bright-eyed friend named Charlie.

When I first started my publishing journey, I had no idea how important Amazon reviews are for new authors. If you would like to submit your own review to Amazon, I would greatly appreciate it!
